What barrel does Noveske use?
Our chrome lined barrels are cold hammer forged and made with the material callouts and manufacturing process for the M249 Machine Gun barrel. The cold hammer forging process hardens the steel around a rifled mandrel, which creates the lands and grooves. These barrels are chambered in 5.56mm NATO.

Where is the Noveske company logo stamped on a rifle?
As a symbol of Noveske’s quality control, the company logo is stamped on a complete rifle’s right side above the trigger pins where the upper and lower receivers meet. As soon as I got back to work from that initial range experience, I contacted Noveske Rifleworks and ordered my own.
What makes the N4 Light Shorty so special?
The N4 Light Shorty tested featured the Low Profile Upper, which is available separately. This configuration features a forged Vltor MUR (Modular Upper Receiver) with anti-rotational interface and a 9-inch railed handguard. Flip-up front and rear sights were included but an Aimpoint did the short work on that particular range day.
